About
I am a Stockholm-based artist working with various media, but primarily sculpture. My art addresses how subjective experiences relate to the physical. Through themes such as endurance, dependency, vulnerability, and longing, I untangle the oxymoron of the body. An asset, carrying you, a limitation, pain, isolation. My pieces illustrate relations of dependency, such as living in the confinement of a body while being unavoidably dependent on it, inviting others to confront their own dependencies as well as societal ones.
In my work, weight – a force that both pulls down and holds together – challenges a body’s constitution, tests the limits of what holds, what breaks, and what continues despite its fragility. I seek out states of instability, dependency, and balance. Fragments and found elements coalesce into forms where each encounter contains an inherent uncertainty. Within this fragile balance lives an animacy – a will to continue, to endure, and to remain.
