The skin – a diffuse, arbitrary border of the body and self, an interface through which you interact with your surroundings. What is it structurally, anatomically, but also subjectively? What is my relation to my skin, or the skin of others? Even though skin is present in a lot of photography, it is seldom the focus, the subject. I explored my own skin through performance. I wrote words, poems, my own and others’, on my body and captured it through photography. Ink on skin. Creating on the skin as an attempt to bring it forth and approach it.
